- Participation in or attendance at any event requires a festival button. Each festival
button costs $10. The festival accepts cash or checks made out to “Santa Cruz Jazz
Festival.” School district purchase orders will not be accepted as payment.
- Participating groups must purchase one button for every performer at the time of
application. The festival understands that the number of performers may change
between the end of the application period and the performance time, and any
additional fees for additional performers will be accepted at the REGISTRATION/
INFORMATION DESK during the festival. However, performers will not be
admitted to the warm up or performance areas without a festival button.
- Directors are provided with a name badge in lieu of a festival button.
- The festival provides one complimentary button for a chaperone for each 10 buttons
purchased for performers.
- Buttons purchased during the application period will be distributed at the
registration/information desk during the festival. Buttons for participating
groups will only be distributed to the director.
- Parents, siblings and friends of performers must have festival buttons when assisting
with transport of equipment or attending any performance, clinic or concert.
- Children 8 and under will be permitted into performance, clinic and concert venues
when accompanied by an adult with a festival button. Only one child 8 and under will
be granted courtesy admission for each adult.
